In loving Memory
Dương Thị Hương
1936-2012
A life of 77 years, and 77 years full of life and love. Memories of our mom.
“ In the air we breathe, we know she is there to guide and protect all whom she loved”
We were born through her love, we are now who she was.
I don’t think that there is a single person who met mom that doesn’t remember her in some way. She just had that kind of effect on people. She was such an incredibly strong woman so full of life an laughter. For all her love and kindness, she had never asked any thing in return.
She was born on the 11th day of the 7th month in the year of Binh Ty (1936) in Vietnam. She married the love of her life, Loi Thach. After the fall of Vietnam, they were able to bring all their children to the land of freedom, America, in 1979.
Starting from nothing, they worked hard to rebuild their life for their children in this country. Van’ s Bakery was built by “ từng ly chè của mẹ” to become the friendly and well–loved Hệ Thống Van’s Bakery today.
After watching the children grow and be successful in their life, they wanted to see the world and have traveled to hundreds of cities in several countries with Viet Nam always as the # 1 destination. Mom lived with the hope that one of these days, she would be able to help the orphans and rebuild one of the temples in her home town. Her dream came true. The ‘ Tinh Xa Ngoc Uyen’ Temple in Bien Hoa was rebuilt anh she was there to celebrate the opening of the temple in 2006
Mom ‘ s strong spirit is still living in each and every one of us.
